1. Explain the second sentence of this chapter: “I shall relate events that impressed me with feelings which…have made me what I am.”

-He will tell Victor of the vents, which have changed him...

2. How does the creature feel about spring?

-He loves the spring, it is warm and there are flowers.

3. What does the creature learn that changes Felix’s feelings from sorrow to joy?

-Felix's lover comes to the door, she is an Arab!

4. What is the creature going to be able to learn now that Safie has arrived? What kind of progress does he make?

-He is going to learn language because Safie needs to learn it aswell... He gets quite far.

5. Explain why Safie wants to marry Felix. How does her father feel about this?

-Safie wants to marry Felix because they love eachother and he saved her father... Her father does not agree with it.

6. Why does Felix have to leave Safie for what he hopes is a short time?

-His family is in prison in Paris, he must go help them.

7. What happens to Felix, his father, and sister?

-Like I explained in the last question, his family is in prison.

8. What does Safie's father do while in exile?

-Safie's father has to leave once again because he has to stay free.
